LET’S LOOK FOR SPRING TOGETHER
This activity took place outside school hours organized by the teachers together with the families. A route or important zone in the area was chosen for the activity to be carried out together with the students’ relatives.
POLAND
On Monday, March 25, despite not very good weather forecast, students of the fifth, sixth and seventh grade, together with their parents and part of the teachers, gathered in front of the school, ready for hiking together in search of spring.
At the beginning, the weather was surprisingly nice: sunny and quite warm, but with time it started to cool down and the wind started blowing. Jackets and hats were still useful.
Some participants were equipped with nordic walking poles, which are more and more popular, especially among parents and grandparents. The route covering the surrounding fields, forests and a dam was designated by one of the fathers.
The students measured the time and the traveled distance. The whole trip took us 2 hours and during this time we covered 12.811 steps , which is almost 8 kilometers.
We returned tired, but happy and satisfied that we made it, because the hike was not so easy. We completed the task and what’s more achieved the main goal : we found the first signs of spring ….
It is closer and closer ….
SPAIN
On a windy Sunday, a group of the school students, parents and teachers have met early in the morning to make a 6 kilometres hiking route and enjoy one of the most beautiful places of Villena. This activity promotes healthy leisure, and the better way to do it is to spend the morning with friends and family.
We started the route at the bottom of the Sierra de la Villa, the mountain attached to the city, and we have ascended the path until they reach the top. Then we had lunch in the area of the “Minica de los Colores” (“Colour Mine”), an old rock mine, called like this because of its characteristic range of colours.
It was a different way to enjoy the Sunday morning, encouraging contact and enjoyment of the environment and knowing the natural heritage that surrounds us.
Without a doubt, we will repeat this activity since it has been a very satisfying experience.

The Erasmus experience “Hiking in family” has been an exciting adventure for “Alighieri-Tanzi” students’, parents and teachers. For the first time families and teachers have been working together to organize and share a students’ activity. First of all parents have been informed of this opportunity through the whatsapp group. In a second moment they have decided to meet teachers to plan “Hiking in family”. They have discussed different ideas and finally they have agreed on a route in Mola countryside. This activity has also involved the local Ecomuseo community “Poggio delle antiche ville”.
On Saturday 30th March students, families and teachers met Giancarla, Angela, Giuseppe, Maddalena and Domenico. They are the Ecomuseum’s guides and the owners of traditional villas in the countryside. The tour started and, step by step, the Erasmus+ group discovered the history of different villas: Villa Pesce, Villa Lucarelli, Villa De Stasi and Tenuta Pinto where Domenico and Chiara offered them drinks and delicious cakes. Along the route the group enjoyed the environment: multicolor flowers and Mediterranean plants.
The tour finished with an engaging treasure hunt at the Ecomuseum. A snack and a gift were offered to each student by Giancarla and Angela.
This esperience was really entusiastic: students, parents and teachers had a great time!

For March, there was a different activity in the schedule of Erasmus + project. The plan was to go hiking with the whole family, a day besides school days… Unfortunately, March stubbornly refused to help us carry out this activity; the weather was awful most of the time. But on Sunday, April 14, 2019, during a small period of sunshine, we spontaneously decided to go for hiking after all. We all gathered at the “Kalopoula” café, in the Municipality of Kessariani, at 16:30. From there, we started walking along Hymettus mountain paths, towards the botanical path.
The children were the first to run, trying to explore the route. Unrestrained! Used to the city’s “narrow limits”, having the opportunity to escape to this little paradise, seemed like a dream. They ran, climbed, rolled, hid, laughed…
But also the adults enjoyed this “change”. The view was amazing! The landscape was picturesque and the paths were wonderful! The eyes were filled with beautiful images, colors and sunbeams!
That is an activity worth repeating soon…!
